Animals & Loyalty

This post is something that we believe will be loved by any animal lover as we ourselves feel the same way. These photos speak much louder than words can, & need none to say what they want to convey.

These images display the amazing canine loyalty. This dog stood by his companion after been run over by a car on the street until the traffic came to a near halt.

Loyal till the very end - This canine again makes the old saying true: dogs are man’s best friend.

This little one is having a hard time trying to wake the other bird:

=( so sad. Dogs are very loyal, they will protect till the end even if the person they are protecting wasn’t the nicest to them. All they want is love in return.

It is human-stupidity. Most animals died (was killed) because of humans.

I’m an Animal Science major and I’ve considered going to graduate school for Animal Behavior, because it’s just such a fascinating study. These are some very sad, very sweet photos. Humans just don’t realize that animals have feelings too. They may not be as deep and long-lasting as ours, but they exist. I saw one of my own cats grooming another after we’d brought the second one home from surgery and she was still woozy, I had a pair of mated rabbits where the buck died and the female tried to dig him up and then died a couple weeks later of a different disease, which I still attribute to grief, and I’ve seen all sorts of interactions with horses. They’re really amazing.

Fascinating… I never knew that animals can be so loyal to reach other. Elephants do this too… but I never knew that other animals do it.

It’s really sad and touching at the same time.

sad. The first one, why didn’t anyone go and get that poor little dead doggy, and get the living one out of harm’s way? Instead, just take pics? wtf?

What you are all doing is attributing human emotions to animal behaviour based purely on observation. You (and I) have no idea whether the dog is sad about the other dog, or just doesn’t understand that it is dead. It is wrong, and bad science to make these leaps of assumption. We love baby animals with big eyes because they remind us of human babies, we project our feelings and reposnses on to them and then behave as if they were furry humans and understood us. They are after all animals and deserve to be treated as such and not as mock humans.

    Cute pictures though!

It is not bad science to say that animals have emotions- it's bad science to pretend that emotions are anything but primal & biological.
Animal brains have the same basic equipment that makes humans feel sorrow, aggression, joy- these are chemical reactions in the brain- reactions that we share with any creature with a hippocampus.

    Animals do feel.

The one with the birds isn’t how it seems, the bird was actually dying and was in pain and the other bird came and finished him off.
